Gift Buying for People Who Have Everything
Where do you even begin to come up with gift ideas for the people who seem to have it all? My in-laws don’t really have any hobbies and when they need or want something they go out and buy it . And buying something practical for family is not really all that fun . Even coming up with something just for fun is really tough!!
Somewhere along the way one of my sisters in law discovered how much more fun it is to get on the internet and find a little something quirky we can twist and make it unique for our in laws. She digs around on the internet and seems to always come up with a gift all of us enjoy giving. They seem to like the presents that are different and just for them. My father in law loves to brew beer. He also is a big Lord of the Rings fan. This last Christmas, my sister in law ordered a bunch of personalized beer mugs. She had dug around and found a bunch on funny Yoda quotes. We all got a good laugh at his reaction and his friends don’t have the same thing .
My mother in law has a thing for candles. That same sister in law found these cool little medallions to hang around some personalized candle. It was originally marketed as a personalized wedding gift; we got it as an anniversary present. It was a beautiful addition to the decoration and was a special souvenir.
The best gift I got from my sister inlaw for my birthday was this cute nfl koozie that was engraved . I am a huge Redskins fan and she managed to get me a koozie with the team logo on one side and my name and birthday engraved on the other side. It was the perfect birthday gift to sit there watching my team with my customized drink holder.
